Priroda News

Public institution „Priroda“, together with BIOM Association, during the month of June has carried out monitoring of Griffon vultures nesting population for the second time this year. This is activity which provide us with information about the success of incubation. It is important to monitor number of young griffon vultures born this year who are starting to fly out from their nests for the first time, in the next few weeks. So far we have visited South reserve on island Cres, reserve Prvić and Plavnik, and soon we will finish monitoring in North reserve island Cres and ornithological reserve on island Krk so that we could gain complete information about population on Kvarner islands for this protected species.
